REDISCOVERY

The REdiscovery: Cabinet of Curiosity's is the University of the Arts curation society's collaboration with Arts SU summer exhibition presenting a variety of work from our members in a new light.

The works showcase the familiar concepts, objects and ideas can be repurposed and transformed through an archival and material-based approach. We wanted to give our members the opportunity to reflect on their personal achieves, see what sparks their curiosity and what that rediscovery leads to.

The ideas here range from observations of the natural world, artifacts, sketches, files, and long forgotten fragments that can become the centre of their work once again.

Following the theme of the exhibition, I revisited past work to rediscover hidden pieces to focus my attention upon, retransforming through presentation and the use of objects from the natural world I collaborated with. Each object was collected from the four sites I worked with and produced these intimate land art forms.

This work 'Memory Land' discusses exploring site-specific work, memory, and intuition through land art; now extending on this work through this exhibition, this explores significant places, souvenirs, and physical attachments through these objects.
